Trucks on Display
Below are many of the trucks on display in our Trucking Hall of Fame® Exhibit Hall.

1972 Dodge C 600
Engine Type:
361 2V Dodge Gasoline 178 Horsepower
Transmission Type:
New Process 5-Speed
Truck Information:
When we got the call about a ’72 Dodge medium-duty farm truck, our expectations weren’t high. Most medium-duty trucks like this one have been well-used and totally worn out over the years; there’s usually not much left that isn’t rusted. When we arrived at the farm to look at the truck, the owner – Jack Ward of Cordova, Illinois – was busy waxing his combine. He took great pride in his equipment. In fact, most of the paint on this Dodge C 600 is original. This was a multiple-use farm truck. Famers used trucks like this to haul their grain to town as well as to haul hogs and cattle to market, and so it has a combination bed. The slats on the top of the bed could be opened for ventilation or closed to hold grain. The box also has a hoist under it to dump the box for unloading grain. The most unique feature about this type of Dodge is that it is incredibly easy to work on the engine. Not only does the hood open up, but both fenders swing out. Serviceability doesn't get much better. Top Speed: 60 MPH
