Studebaker started out as a wagon manufacturer in the mid 1800’s before delving into truck manufacturing in 1902. In November 1940 Studebaker began producing the M Series trucks. Not many were produced prior to World War II when production was switched to M Series Military Trucks. After the war, Studebaker began manufacturing civilian trucks as soon as possible.
