Truck Information:
Andy Anderson of Forreston, IL, purchased this truck brand new in 1969 for $26,000. When the truck was new, it was leased to Rowley Interstate Transportation and made weekly deliveries of pork and beef from Dubuque, Iowa to meat markets in New York and New Jersey area. In 1986, Andy received his own authority and created Anderson Transportation, that is still in business today. Andy and “Miss Eileen” spent over 20 years and over 2.5 million miles accident free together. The truck was restored over the course of 2 years by Andy in the late 1990’s and spent the next decade enjoying her retirement by attending truck shows and participating in parades, including the Walcott Truckers Jamboree. Andy was even the Grand Marshall of Waupun Truck-n-Show in Waupun, WI with Miss Eileen. Miss Eileen was generously donated to the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum in memory of Andy Anderson by the Anderson Family in 2024.
