Trucks on Display
Below is a sampling of the many trucks on display in our Trucking Hall of Fame® Exhibit Hall.
1948 Mack EQX
Engine Type:
354 Cubic Inch
Transmission Type:
10-Speed
Truck Information:
After World War II, truck sales in the United States skyrocketed, and demand for truck/tractor combinations increased dramatically. Models like the Mack EQX had a chassis designed for war conditions, built with enhanced utility. With a chassis from Mack’s 1940s Dumper series, this 1948 Mack EQX has gone through several transformations. Beginning its life as a dump truck, it has since been converted into a water truck, and then into its current state as a logging truck. Despite the various changes made to this Mack, the engine and transmission remain original. This Mack is currently on loan to the Museum from Jim Dobbas of Newcastle, California.
