1929 Mack AC

Truck Information:
The first Mack AC was built in 1916; this is a 1929 model and it looks the same as the '16. There is absolutely no difference between this one and the first one that was made. It still has the same four-cylinder engine, radiator is in back, hood still flips up from the front, still crank start, water pump, magneto; well, OK, they did change the engine design from the first one. It is still a chain drive. They made the AC model until 1938. Mack offered more transmission options in the later models. This one only has three speeds forward, later models had seven, but otherwise, by all appearances, this was the same as the 1916 model. Twenty-two years, same appearance, same performance and they continued to sell them. This is a five-ton model; Mack also made a three-and-a-half-ton model and a seven-and-a-half-ton model. In the old truck world, they're a very popular truck; there's a lot of ACs still around. Mack made a lot of them and a good number of them survived. This is the quintessential model; it is what so many people thought of when they heard the words Mack truck.
