1929 Mack AC

4-Cylinder, 5-Inch Bore and 6-Inch Stroke, 50 Horsepower

6-Speed: 4 Forward Speeds & 2 Reverse
Truck Information:
The first Mack AC was built in 1916; this is a 1929 model, and it looks the same as the '16. It still has the same four-cylinder engine, water pump, magneto, and crank start. The radiator is still in the back, it is still a chain drive, and the hood still flips up from the front. The only difference is a change in engine design. Mack made over 40,000 AC models until the end of production in 1938. They offered more transmission options in the later models. This one only has three speeds forward; later models had seven. This is a 5-ton model, but Mack also made a 3.5-ton and a 7.5-ton model. In the antique truck world, they're a very popular truck; there's a lot of ACs still around. Mack made a lot of them and a good number survived. This is the quintessential model; it is what so many people think of when they hear the words "Mack truck." Top Speed: 15-20 MPH
