1941 International KB 7

Engine Type:
380 Cummins

Transmission Type:
7-Speed & 4-Speed Overdrive

Truck Information:
This truck was donated to the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum in 2022 in honor of Dave Lanz of Hedrick, Iowa. His father, Earl, had bought this 1941 International KB 7 truck brand new in 1941. He used it to haul grain back in the day and then it sat unused for many years. In 2000, Dave talked to his mechanic and friend, Gary Dovico about fixing it up for truck shows. Dave had the chassis for a 1959 International Westcoaster 405, so they combined the two over a period of 7 years. Dave’s first show with this truck was in 2007 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Gary finished the truck a day before the show started. Before he passed in 2020, this truck was exhibited at every show in the ATHS Circuit all over the United States. When asked what the top speed of the truck was, Gary said, “It would probably go 140 mph, we built it to run!”
