1923 Mack AB

Engine Type:
4-Cylinder, 30 Horsepower

Transmission Type:
3-Speed

Truck Information:
The Mack AB model was Mack’s first standardized, high-volume model series. It was introduced in 1914 and replaced the Mack Jr. line. The first AB models had chain drive or worm drive. In 1920, a dual reduction drive replaced worm drive as an option. This medium-duty truck’s simple, classic styling made it very popular. Mack made the AB model until 1937; more than 55,000 of them were built. Back in the ‘20s a medium-duty truck like this would have hauled many different types of loads – hay, barrels of oil, bags of feed, lumber, tools, cars, farm equipment, you name it. This 1923 Mack AB has solid rubber tires and includes a 1914 Fruehauf trailer.
